The 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts has a complex and sophisticated bouquet, very elegant in the style of Lamarche on the 2015 vintage, with greater underlying minerality, hints of wild mint and fennel developing in the glass . The palate is medium-bodied with a soft, gripping entry. It's a classic Malconsorts in many ways, well structured, although I'd like to see it develop more density and weight on the finish. Yet it is beautifully balanced and the long spicy note in the aftertaste is bewitching.
