The Echézeaux appellation covers just over 37 hectares located in the commune of Flagey-Echézeaux. Like its neighbour, Clos Vougeot, the terroir has heterogeneous characteristics: sandy on its upper part, deeper at the bottom of the appellation, and, halfway up the hill, brown-limestone.
The wines produced in this appellation are distinguished by their lively, sustained, brilliant and very red colour. They are tender when tasted, with great finesse. Fleshy, they remain supple thanks to contained acidity and very fine, tight tannins. Elegant and fine, the aromas evoke scents of exotic precious woods such as cedar.
"Alcohol is harmful to health, to be enjoyed in moderation."
