Mouton Rothschild 2001 went unnoticed, after all the hype around the Mouton Rothschild 2000. The match between the two is getting interesting. The blend of this Mouton Rothschild 2001 is organized around 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 12% Merlot. The robe is still very deep and retains a beautiful shine. The nose tells the most beautiful stories of blackcurrant, nutmeg and oriental spices. If the mouth is less multidimensional than the 2000, Mouton Rothschild 2001 reveals a good length with enough energy on the finish.
