In 2004, during her annual inspection, Cellar Master Pierrette Trichet discovered an exceptionally high cask with a higher alcohol content and, moreover, a particular taste and aroma. She observes the maturation in this cask for another five years and then decides that this Louis XIII must become a special bottling as a “Rare Cask”.
Only 786 bottles were filled from this special cask.
